Upcoming Local Pagan Events for the Tallahassee Area, 9-23

Once again, our thoughts and prayers go to those in the path of Hurricane Rita! New information up in this newsletter, including a garage sale, planning meetings, the Witches' Masquerade Ball and the Samhain Ritual.

Last week's Pagan Pride Day went off without a hitch, and was well received by everyone. Kudos to Sandy (Marina Moon Child!) You did a great job!

I hope everyone has a blessed Autumn.

Nine blessings,

RedSelchie

New: Sunday, October 30th Samhain Labyrinth at the May Oak, 7 pm - 10 pm. Last year's candlelit labyrinth was so popular, we're going to do it again, even bigger and better than before! As The Labyrinth: Walking Your Spiritual Journey states: "A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools." What better time to contemplate your life, than on the cusp of Samhain, when the veil between this life and the next is the thinnest? There will be a welcome area; a meditation area, to help you prepare for your walk; a divination area, where you may have your cards read; and of course the labyrinth itself, which will be lined with luminaries. As last year, there will be an oracle in the center of the layrinth, should you wish to ask a question or seek advice. Walk alone, or with a friend. We do ask that you keep your speech quiet while in the area, and please bring a canned good as a donation to Second Harvest. We still need volunteers - drummers (simple heartbeat rhythm), smudgers, greeters, etc. Please email redseichie@aol.com or tinacobb@comcast.net if you would like to volunteer. Sponsored by the Red Hills Pagan Council.
